An aromatic, shrubby perennial, bearing spires of powder blue flowers in summer, attractive to bees.

Russian Sage

Persicaria odoratum NEW! Height MEDIUM

Discovery of this rampant, delicious herb (whose flavour is like a lemony, strong coriander) has changed my life. Well, at least we get to eat a lot more coriander-flavoured food, because there is so much of it, it's evergreen, and perennial! It's really more closely related to dock than to coriander, but is ridiculously easy to grow. Needs plenty of watering and a frost-free place in winter. Foliage attractive as well as edible.

Vietnamese Coriander

Petroselinum crispum Height FAIRLY LOW

Usually we stick to the Italian, or flat leaved, parsley (it tastes better), but it depends on whim and seed germination. This year we're doing both Such a pile of medicinal uses, it's an insult to call it a garnish.

Curled Parsley
